With a rising popularity resulting from a year touring and playing with bands such as Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Jim James, Lucius, Yellowbirds and others, acclaimed Vermont-based 5-piece Alpenglow have released a stunning debut EP Solitude.

First coming together in a small Vermont town in 2011, Alpenglow founding members Peter Coccoma (Guitar, Keys, Vocals), Graeme Daubert (Guitar, Keys, Vocals), Elori Kramer (Violin, Banjo, Keys, Vocals) and Kenneth Root (Drums, Banjo) began sharing original songs with one another while playing together in an old stone mill. Over the next two years, after adding bassist Colin Weeks and garnering comparisons to Fleet Foxes, The Low Anthem and others, Alpenglow transformed their original songs, rooted in the folk tradition, into a collection of finely crafted arrangements that are sprawling, moody, and wholly their own. Their music has been described as "swooning, harmony-laden stuff…laced with arcing fiddle, shimmering keys and healthy doses of ringing guitar punch."

Alpenglow is currently busy working on their debut full-length, to be released in 2014, in hilltop chapel they've outfitted with gear that serves as both inspiration and recording site.
