Following a breakout year and celebrated performances at Austin City Limits Festival this month, Brooklyn eight-piece Red Baraat has confirmed new shows for Philadelphia and Washington D.C. following already announced dates in Brooklyn and Boston. (see below for full tour dates)

Red Baraat wowed huge festival audiences the first weekend of ACL, played a sellout at Stubbs in Austin later that week, then acted quickly after the festival rain-out, becoming one of the few performers to book a replacement show—another sellout at the Belmont, with a line of over 1000 trying to get in. The band was soon trending on Austin twitter alongside Atoms for Peace and Franz Ferdinand.

Red Baraat's self-released breakthrough album Shruggy Ji debuted # 1 on Billboard's World Music charts earlier this year and is currently on the voting ballot of the 2014 Grammy nominations for "Best World Music Album." The album set the band up for a meteoric rise as they sold out the biggest venues of their career nationally and garnered praise from NPR's Weekend Edition, the Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, World Café and more.

Red Baraat will present a special homecoming show at Brooklyn Bowl Nov 8, having become a must-see for New Yorkers as the band headlined Central Park Summerstage, Webster Hall and Fort Greene Park throughout the year.

11/8 – Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn Bowl
11/9 – Boston, MA – Royale
11/22 – Philadelphia, PA – The Blockley Pourhouse
