Debut Album In The Silence Out Now Via One Little Indian/Columbia Records
Previously Announced Dates Include Brooklyn’s Rough Trade Records + WXPN Philadelphia’s Non-Commvention In May

Icelandic phenom Ásgeir has confirmed a new run of U.S. tour dates this June including performances at Bonnaroo and in Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, Boston and more. The new dates will follow Ásgeir’s already announced appearances at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade Records and at WXPN’s Noncommevention at World Café Live in Philadelphia in May. See below for full list of dates.

The acclaimed singer’s debut In The Silence is out now. Recalling Bon Iver, Mew, Kings Of Convenience and James Blake, the hope-filled album bursts with warm acoustic guitars, jubilant horns and majestic piano. It took the #1 spot on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart earlier this year and is the fastest-selling debut in his native country (a reported 1 in 10 people in Iceland own the album). In The Silence combines Ásgeir’s distinctive melancholic voice with both electronic and organic elements resulting in an extraordinary vibrancy.
