A unique songwriter and entirely distinctive singerNo Depression

Venerable singer/songwriter Colin Hay is set to begin a 35 date tour with the Barenaked Ladies and Violent Femmes for the “2015 Last Summer on Earth Tour” beginning June 5 and ending July 26. The tour will see Colin backed by his band featuring Cecilia Noël on vocals, San Miguel Perez on guitar, Yosmel Montejo on bass and Charlie Paxson on drums and will hit markets such as Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and more.

The summer tour follows numerous sold-out headline shows by Hay throughout the US in support his latest album Next Year People. Next Year People is the work of an artist who is a true master of his craft. The album is full of quizzical, curious, and cynical yet openhearted songs with catchy melodic hooks that underscore deeply insightful lyrics. Some of the songs are based on Colin’s personal experiences such as “Waiting in the Rain,” written about his parents and the almost mystical experience he had growing up in a music shop in Scotland, surrounded by instruments and a constant stream of 50’s and 60’s radio hits.
