2020 US Tour Dates Announced
Beloved, North Carolina-based singer songwriter David Wilcox, best known for his story-telling melodies, philosophical lyrics, and sensational sound, has released a new version of his 2003 song “Blue Horizon,” out today. The version, now entitled “New Blue Horizon” is sadly updated with an acknowledgment of the new reality facing students in 2019, where they remember lockdowns alongside graduation parties. Listen here.
“As you know, the chorus of this song is the same as it was years ago when the song was telling a very different story,” comments Wilcox. “But now the verses are telling the story of a woman who has kept her promise to her best friend for all these years.”
Wilcox has also confirmed a new run of U.S. Tour dates for 2020. The tour will feature this song as well as many of the surprising covers he has released in 2019 and songs from Wilcox’s powerful 2018 album, The View From the Edge. The album provides meaningful inspiration for longtime listeners as well as those discovering him for the first time. Fans praise his unique brand of songwriting for providing medicine for the soul in its story and restless spirituality. See the video for the title track here.
