Dates added to 2019 U.S. tour kicking off April 5

Latest, Acclaimed Studio Album Cloud Symbols out now

Parker once again shows his creative well is far from dry, sounding as consistently strong as any of his peers from the era when pub gave way to punk…he remains an estimable talent, and he’s reveling in the pleasure of making music. – ALL MUSIC

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Graham Parker has recorded a new solo acoustic version of his seminal album Squeezing Out Sparks. The album features all 10 of the album tracks (plus non-album single “Mercury Poisoning“) and will be released April 13 on CD and streaming services globally and on blue vinyl for UK Record Store Day. As a taster, the track “Discovering Japan” is now available to stream and download on all digital stores.

The news comes just ahead of Parker’s already confirmed 2019 U.S. solo tour kicking off in Sacramento, California April 5th and spanning the country, hitting cities such as Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, New York, D.C. and many more. With some shows already beginning to sell out, the now twenty-two-date tour will be his first American performances since the release of his lauded 2018 release Cloud Symbols, available via 100% Records.

Graham Parker is one of the most successful singer/songwriters to emerge from the UK pub rock scene of the early ’70s. Together with his backing band The Rumour, Parker developed a sinewy fusion of driving rock & roll and confessional folk-rock, highlighted by his indignant passion, biting sarcasm, and bristling anger. Cloud Symbols is his 24th studio album.
