Inventive Pop Artist Miles Francis Announces New Tour Dates

New Single / Video “Sophomore Slump” Out Now

Catchy and intimateStereogum

Genre-bending, multi instrumentalist Miles Francis has announced new East coast tour dates in Washington DC, Philadelphia, North Carolina, and NYC. See full list below.  Following the release of his debut EP Swimmers, Miles released his new single “Sophomore Slump,” an infectiously catchy ode that pokes fun at an all-too-familiar phenomenon, earlier this month. Watch the video via The Deli Magazine.

While Swimmers was Miles first EP he has been around for years. You might have seen him on Late Show with David Letterman drumming with Arcade Fire’sWill Butler, or on Jimmy Kimmel Live! keeping time for Antibalas — the band he joined in 2010, when he was just 19; in South Africa onstage with Angelique Kidjo; in Hollywood playing with Amber Mark; or at the Apollo Theater backing up the late Sharon Jones.

Swimmers showed off Miles’s range of influences, from J Dilla to David Bowie, received radio play across the country at tastemaker stations like KCRW and KUTX, and garnered thoughtful words at places like Stereogum (“catchy, intimate”), The FADER (“sparkly”), and Blackbook (“graceful”), among others.
