Following seven years of explosive growth across China, becoming that country’s largest music festival ever, The Modern Sky Festival is now set to come to the United States for the first time, bringing a wide-ranging, two-day musical gathering to Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield in New York, October 4th & 5th 2014.

Closing the first night of the festival will be Atomic Bomb! The Music of William Onyeabor, presented by Luaka Bop as part of the label’s 25th anniversary year. Featuring an amazing and ever evolving line-up — and following a celebrated festival run across Europe this summer—this New York City edition will feature the show’s most eclectic lineup to date.
