U.S. TOUR KICKS OFF JAN 24 AT D.C.’S 9:30 CLUB, NY’S BOWERY BALLROOM CONFIRMED FOR FEB 1
Brooklyn 8-piece Red Baraat will bring their wild, NOLA-infused bhangra sound to New Orleans this February accepting an invite from Galactic to play their epic Lundi Gras show (an annual favorite) at Tipitina’s Feb 11. The following day Red Baraat will join a special second line parade escorting Big Chief on Mardis Gras that will culminate in a showdown with the legendary Mardis Gras Indian Orchestra at the Hi-Ho Lounge. Red Baraat will also perform on additional stages during Mardis Gras including a Feb 10 show at Blue Nile.
As anticipation builds for the Jan 22 release of new album Shruggy Ji New York’s WNYC is streaming the full album exclusively via their Soundcheck blog. The band’s U.S. tour launches Jan 24 in D.C. and will see the band travel the entire country in 2013 including headlining shows at NY’s Bowery Ballroom and LA’s Bootleg Theatre.
